We act for shipowners, charterers, cargo interests, and insurers across the range of shipping disputes, including cargo claims, vessel arrests and releases, collision and casualty matters, and charterparty and demurrage disputes. We also defend the criminal exposure that can follow a marine casualty in Indonesian waters, and are used to coordinating with foreign owners, managers, and insurers at every stage.
-
We represent companies and individuals in contract, corporate, and civil disputes before the Indonesian courts, from the District Court through cassation and judicial review at the Supreme Court. Our work covers shareholder and joint-venture disputes, breach of contract, unlawful-act claims, and enforcement, with attention to both the legal merits and the commercial result the client needs.
-
We defend individuals and companies in white-collar and corporate criminal liability under the new Criminal Code. Our engagement start from the pre-investigation stage where outcomes are often decided up to criminal courtroom where we manage matters that carry weight of cross-examinations.

We support businesses across a broad range of corporate matters, including governance, compliance, commercial structuring, and day‑to‑day operational needs. Our services cover contract drafting and review, regulatory filings, corporate housekeeping, stakeholder arrangements, and strategic advisory for business growth and risk management. We pair courtroom experience with commercial judgment, and is built for matters that cross borders and disciplines.
How we work
Cross-border capability
We represent international clients in Indonesian proceedings and work alongside their foreign counsel and insurers. We are used to translating local procedure into terms a principal abroad can act on, and to keeping overseas stakeholders informed at each stage of a matter.
Litigation and defence
Commercial disputes increasingly carry criminal exposure, and the two often move in parallel. We handle both under one roof, so a single matter need not be split across firms and the approach to the civil claim and the criminal risk stays joined up rather than working against itself.
Partner-led attention
Matters are run by partners, not delegated down a chain of associates. Clients deal directly with the lawyers responsible for the outcome, which means faster decisions, fewer handovers, and advice that comes from the person who actually argues the case.
Experience
A selection of cases our partners have handled.
Acted for nineteen crew members facing extradition in a cross-border maritime matter, defending against a request advanced through the ASEAN Mutual Legal Assistance framework. The engagement turned on coordinating Indonesian criminal procedure with the mechanics of inter-state legal cooperation, while protecting foreign nationals exposed to proceedings across more than one jurisdiction.
Defended a client against a commercial insurance claim of approximately USD 7 million, contesting both liability and the quantum claimed and managing the dispute through the Indonesian court system from first instance onward. The matter combined detailed contractual analysis with the procedural strategy needed to hold a high-value claim at bay
Advised a business client on the establishment of a FDI company in Indonesia and acquisition of land valued at approximately USD 9 million, handling the due diligence, contractual terms, and corporate structuring behind the deal. The work drew on the partner's dispute experience, structuring the transaction to anticipate where conflict tends to arise and to leave the client better protected if it does.
